wie ihr in den letzten Wochen vielleicht mitbekommen habt, sind die Tode an den EU-Außengrenzen gerade wieder auf einem Höhepunkt. Viele Menschen müssen verstärkt aus den Kriegs- und Elendsgebieten im Nahen Osten und in Afrika flüchten. Gleichzeitig werden die EU-Außengrenzen noch brutaler abgeschottet. Dagegen gibt es in ganz Europa Widerstand, der sich zunehmend vernetzt. Wobblies hier in einigen deutschen Städten sehen uns als Teil dieses gesamteuropäischen Widerstandes und fordern euch auf, ebenfalls mitzumachen, soweit euch das möglich ist. [...]
In verschiedenen Regionen gibt es GenossInnen, die versuchen, den Migranten und Migrantinnen zu helfen. Die meisten der Flüchtenden werden sich als niedrig bezahlte Arbeiter_innen, als prekäre Arbeitskräfte auf den europäischen Arbeitsmärkten wiederfinden. Ihr Kampf ums Überleben und ein würdiges Leben hier in Europa wird Teil unserer Anstrengungen als Wobblies sein. Wir werden sie in unseren Reihen herzlich begrüßen.
Jetzt sind aber viele Migranten und Migrantinnen in Gefahr. Im Notfall wollen wir Ihnen auch auf der schwierigen Seereise im Mittelmeer solidarisch zur Seite stehen.
Die Initiativen, die im Notfall bereit sind, Hilfe zu organisieren, haben uns gebeten, wo es möglich ist, mit Seeleuten Kontakt aufzunehmen und ihnen sowohl die Nummer des Alarmphones und die Informationen von „watch the med“ (http://watchthemed.net/ ) mitzuteilen als auch mit Ihnen über Protest gegen das menschenverachtendes Sterbenlassen auf See durch Frontex u. A. zu sprechen.
Die Initiative "watch the Med" freut sich auch sehr über Unterstützungs- oder Solidaritätsbekundungen.
Das Alarmphone ist eine Möglichkeit, Notfälle auf See zu melden und dann Hilfe zu organisieren. Die Nummer könntet ihr Seeleuten bekannt machen.Unser Text hier richtet sich an alle Fellows in Spanien, Frankreich, Italien, Griechenland, aber auch in anderen Ländern, wo Kontakte zu Seeleuten bestehen.
Ihr könnt konkrete Fragen dazu an Helmut von der Forschungsgesellschaft Flucht und Migration richten. Er lebt zur Zeit in Rabat in Marokko und kann außer Deutsch auch Englisch, Französisch, Spanisch und ein bisschen Arabisch. Wenn es dir möglich ist dieses Papier zu übersetzen, dann fange einfach damit an und verbreite es an Menschen die daran
interessiert sein könnten!

Fellow Worker!
As you may recognized in the last few weeks, the deaths on the external borders of the European Union reached a new terribly high point.
A lot of People escape increasingly from battle zones and miserable Areas in the Middle East and Africa. Meanwhile have the external borders been more brutal stepped up. Against that, there is Resistance in throughout Europe which are getting more and more networked with each other. Some Wobblies in several German Cities see themselves as Part of the pan-European Resistance and demand you to do that as well, as it is possible for you.
In several Regions there are Comrades who try to help migrating People. Most of them will find themselves as low-paid Workers and Workers in precarious Situations on the european labour market. Their fight for survival and a dignified life will be part of our efforts as wobblies. We will warmly welcome them as some of ours.
But yet, there are a lot of Migrants in Danger. In case of an emergency we'd like to support them even on the difficult trip on the Mediterranean Sea. The Initiatives that are willing to help in case of emergencies have requested us to contact seamen where it is possible. And give you the number of the alarmphone and Information about „watch the med“ (http://watchthemed.net/ ) as well as discuss forms of protest against that inhuman way of letting people die through Frontex and others. The Initiative would be also very, very happy to receive expressions of Solidarity or Support.
The Alarmphone is one way to (see the attached Paper and their website for more information in english, french and arabic) to report Emergencies and organise help. You spread out this number to seamen. Our Mail is dedicated to all Fellow Worker in Spain, France, Italy, Greece but as well as other countries where there are contacts with seamen available. If you are able to translate this paper, please feel free to do that and spread it out to people who may be interested to help!
You can get your questions out to Helmut, one of the people of the NGO „Research Association on flight and migration“ in Germany. At present, he lives in Rabat, Morocco and speaks in addition to German, English, French, Spanish and a little Arabic.

Comme vous l’avez remarqué, les morts aux frontières européennes ces dernières semaines se sont désormais élevées au plus haut rang.
Beaucoup de personnes sont contraintes à fuir les régions de guerre et de misère du Proche-Orient et d’Afrique. Cependant, les frontières de l’UE sont difficilement franchissables. Mais partout en Europe, des résistants s’y opposent et se connectent de plus en plus pour faciliter le passage vers les pays occidentaux. Dans quelques villes allemandes, les Wobblies se considèrent comme une partie de cette résistance et vous demandent d’y participer autant que vous le pouvez.
Des camarades de diverses régions veulent aider les migrants. La plupart des réfugiés se retrouveront comme étant des travailleurs précaires et faiblement rémunérés sur le marché du travail européen. Leur lutte pour survivre et vivre dignement fera partie de nos priorités en tant que Wobblies. Nous les accueilleront amicalement dans nos rangs.
Actuellement, beaucoup de migrants sont en danger. Dans ce cas d’urgence, nous voulons les assister de façon solidaire lors de leur passage en mer Méditerranée. Les organismes, étant prêts à mettre des aides en place, nous ont demandé d’établir contact avec des marins et de leur donner un certain nombre d’Alarmphone et les informations de
« Watch the med », et de parler des protestations avec eux contre ceux du Frontex qui laissent mourir ces gens dédaigneusement. L’initiative « Watch the med » se réjouit également de recevoir des déclarations de soutien et de solidarité.
L’Alarmphone (plus d’informations dans la feuille ci-jointe), est un moyen d’annoncer des cas d’urgences maritimes, et d’organiser de l’aide. Vous pourriez en donner un certain nombre aux marins. Notre texte s’adresse à tous les Fellow Workers d’Espagne, de France, d’Italie, de Grèce, mais aussi de d’autres pays, où les contacts avec les marins existent;
Vous pouvez poser des questions concrètes à Helmut de « Forschungsgesellschaft Flucht und Migration » (Société de recherche de la fuite et de la migration). Il habite actuellement à Rabat au Maroc, et il parle allemand, mais aussi anglais, français, espagnol, et un peu arabe.
